Mahamaya is a holistic organic farm located in Sal-Bicholim in North Goa at a wonderful spot near the southern bank of the River Chapora, the fresh waters of which merge wth the saline waters of the Arabian Sea between the villages of Chapora in Bardez taluka and Morjim in Pernem taluka.

Fed by the fresh waters of the River Chapora, the farm was set up in 2010 by Shrinivas and Pallavi Dempo. Since 2012, the farm has adopted organic practices.

Mahamaya is committed to creating an environment-friendly food system and promoting awareness among locals, especially students on sustainable practices in agriculture.

In 2012, a Learning Centre was set up on the farm. Over the years, the farm has been open to students for a hands on experience of farming and to encourage them in organic practices in agriculture. Our interns are today celebrated across the country in the field of organic farming.
